My home is isolated from other bodies of land which means that when there is an environmental shift in our habitat, options for finding other food and shelter are very limited.

 

Living on an island means that sphinx moths:

• Have less space to move to for safety.

• Already exist in small numbers.

• Rely on special, collaborative relationships with other animals that have also co-evolved with our island home. [13, 14]
